James Ferioli

James Ferioli is a Director at Epsilon Economics with over 10 years of experience in economic consulting. He has served as an expert witness and/ or consultant for patent infringement, antitrust claims, breach of contract, tortious interference, and false advertising matters. Mr. Ferioli has testified at trial in U.S. District Court as an expert witness on the calculation of patent damages. He has also attended trials as a consultant on matters before U.S. District Court and Superior Court of California, as well as JAMS arbitration.

Mr. Ferioli’s work has involved the determination of reasonable royalties, lost profits, FRAND royalties, fair market value, and other measures for damages.  He has consulted with companies regarding the development of license rates for patent portfolios that have been used for successful licensing programs and enforced at U.S. District Court. Industries in which Mr. Ferioli has been engaged include consumer electronics, telecommunications, enterprise networks, software applications, mobile payments, cable and satellite television, streaming services, cinema, and medical devices.

Prior to joining Epsilon Economics, he was a Principal at Micronomics, an economic research and consulting firm. Mr. Ferioli received a Master of Pacific International Affairs degree in International Economics and International Management from UC San Diego's School of International Relations and Pacific Studies.
