Kathleen Akers is a Director at Epsilon Economics. Her experience includes intellectual property economics and consulting for complex commercial disputes, particularly in investigations before the U.S. International Trade Commission and disputes in courts and arbitrations.
Ms. Akers’s expertise before the U.S. International Trade Commission – spanning over 60 Section 337 investigations – includes economic analysis pertaining to domestic industry, remedy, bond, commercial success, injury, public interest, and enforcement proceedings. She has also consulted in business disputes, conducted damages analyses, and performed valuations of intellectual property and business assets.
Ms. Akers holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Chicago, where she was a student-athlete, and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business specializing in economics and finance. She has published in The University of Baltimore Law Review, authored Law and Economics in Jane Austen (Lexington Books, 2020), and currently lectures at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering. Ms. Akers also serves on the Board of Directors for the Franciscan Outreach.
